For several years now, I’ve joined in a video game challenge run that raises money for Child’s Play Charity, which brings video games to children who are in hospital, helping them to stay active and engaged. The challenge has the unruly name Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta and has been run every year since 2011. I have only had the good fortune of being a part of the community who takes part in this event since 2016.
Final Fantasy V has a very robust jobs system where each of the four characters can choose one of 24 jobs, switch between them, or even have no job at all. The fiesta, being a four job fiesta, allows players only four assigned jobs. According to the rules of the festival, you must use have at least one character of each assigned job and if you have an assigned job, characters are not allowed to have any job. Jobs are assigned randomly as you move through the game. There are additional challenges players can sign up for, including only magic-using jobs, only the eight jobs that appeared in the first Final Fantasy game, and losing certain jobs halfway through the game.
My gameplay can be found on both my Twitch channel and my YouTube channel…may not be suitable for some audiences.
